It's not a holiday!

As you may or may not know, I'm away from the lovely lovely Aberystwyth for the week. "It's not a holiday!!!!!" as the lecturers keep saying, yes the lecturers because I'm on a study trip: International Tourism in Practice, in MALTA!
and as I don't have access to the internet all the time, I post whenever I can but will summarize each day.

Day numero uno:

Finished my assignment early in the morning, printed it out at 3AM and submitted it electronically as well. Did my packing and went to bed to wake up at around 9 do finalize the packing and freak out and all that usual stuff you do before a trip. Quarter past 10 I started walking up the hill, with a small, hand-luggage size suitcase, so not too much effort :) Handed the hardback copy of my assignment in and let the "It's not a holiday!" begin :) With three hours in a coach on those awful welsh roads... Oh god please do not make me sick!!! And yay, I survived!

A little tour in the Manchester airport that really made me realize that there is so much more to airports than just flying :D It is like it's own little community, which is really cool and interesting, like how they worry about good reputation regarding to polluting the environment, different security measures, how one stupid and at a first glance quite insignificant employee may ruin the smooth operation of an entire terminal, like losing every passenger's luggage... Did they get fired? :D

Finally time to check-in for our flight, we were flying with Air Malta, a "proper' airline :D compared to the usual Ryanair and EasyJet... But I've never been so unhappy and annoyed with an airline ever. The check-in process was horrible mainly because they had overbooked, I think it took us nearly an hour to get us all checked in, in the middle of our group the check-in was closed and they had to wait a long time to get it open again... -.- One team member tried to serve three people at once, making a huge mess that resulted in everyone having to wait longer, just deal with one person at (oh god I already finished this post, but it didn't tell me that my internet allowance ran out... so I have to write this part again... why????) a time :D I wonder if someone was left behind...(not from our group)

We were the only flight in that terminal and it was really bizarre walking round the basically empty terminal... like you were in a movie or doing something illegal :D But yet again, seeing the airport from a different light :)

I got to seat next to the emergency exit, so sooo much leg space :) Me likey :) Me likey very-very much :D Why have I not sat there before????? OOOOh and the food! It was so good! Mashed potatoes, green peas and carrots and chicken fillet :) I'm in heaven :D The girl sitting next to me said that this one was even better than the meal she had while flying to Cuba... and our flight only lasted for three hours. I slept most of the flight :) And I didn't mention it before, TV's on the plane, showing where we are on the map all the time and what time it is and how high up we are... high-tech :D Feels so fancy compared to RyanAir :D

Arrived in Malta around 11pm and had to wait for our luggage, haven't done that in two years :D Now I'm a proper flier again :D Then got in the minibuses and headed towards our hotel :) Malta seems nice :)

(I think the original post was a bit longer, but my arms are already tired of typing :D so bye-bye and soooori)

Keep a look out for the next post, can't predict when I will be able to post it though :(

Ttyl :)
Jazzz...
