So Special and so Mean!

This post is all about my Special Friend (yeap I've decided to start referring to him as that), because he truly is so special ;)

PS! I've been just sitting here for a couple of minutes thinking about what I'm going to write and just smiled to myself. Just thought I'd share that with y'all.

Anyway the reason why I call him my Special Friend: the name first came from Deary, before we were officially in a relationship, she invited me somewhere and casually mentioned that my Special Friend could come too :)

His specialness (is that a word, probs not but oh well, no it is) came out in Birmingham last Friday. Oh yeah a romantic getaway lol :D So we were casually walking through the city not really going anywhere but just feeling the vibe of the city. He got a call and talked for about 5 mins or so and obviously we didn't stop but kept on walking. I lead us somewhere. Then after a couple of minutes having ended his call he semi-freaked out because he didn't know where exactly we were (duh! is there anywhere you need to be? no! so what does it matter where we are?) and having looked around pointed to a random direction and said we have to go there. Woah! Why? Lol I'm following the sings if you haven't noticed lol :D I do have a sense of direction and rarely get lost (especially when I don't want to go anywhere particular). So I had to calm him down and say that I know (yeah well I didn't actually) where we are going and asked him to trust me. During that day he managed to freak out like that at least three more times, lol. And the funniest and most special part of that was the fact I could actually see the panic in his eyes LOL. Especially the last incident of the day when we walked out of M&S (the same way we had gone in) and had to go to the train station and he just looked around with panick in his eyes because he couldn't remember which way the train station where we came from was. I finally had to put my hands on his shoulders to calm him down and say Freaking trust me OK? We won't get lost :D  So Special!

We randomyl found the canal, not the nicest one though. Looked pretty rough but people were running along it so obviously it couldn-t not be the place were people get robbed and killed all the time. But as a normal Briton he was scared of that neighbourhood the whole 5 minutes we were there LOL. It wasn't that bad.

The first time he showed how special he was that day was when he wanted to sit down on a broken bench :D LOL he kinda fell on it and then screamed at me DO SOMETHING!. Obviously I just laughed my head off and tried to not to fall down because of the laughing.

Actually before that incident he managed to ask directions (because he couldn't trust me enough to let me lead the way) and started off by saying "Hi! We're from Aberystwyth and here for the day blah blah blah" What the hell? No one cares lol :D And do not tell random people that you are a stupid tourist that does not know where he's going ok? Especially in a big and dangerous city like Birmingham! He is from a small place where you talk to absolutely everyone about everything, but you just do not do it in a big city!!! I was again laughing my head off next to him and hoping we wouldn't get robbed later...

At some point during the day he threatened to leave me there on my own (because I was picking on him too much obviously) but HAAAA the jokes on you my Speacial because I would survive in a big city (plus I had the train tickets to get back home) but he would be like a deer in headlights and probably would get robbed and all that shhhh :D He agreed (because I am always right ;) ). So special :)

Out of nowhere he said "Do you want anything from Tesco's when I go there?". Excuse me? When YOU go there? What about me? Am I supposed to wait outside for you or what? Why am I not allowed to come woth you to Tesco? LOL Then later he did the same thing and asked: "You don't mind if I pop into Waterstones for a minute, do you?" Again, do I have to wait outside while you are in looking for your book? So special and of course he didn't mean it like that. :D Or he's just too scared to tell me the truth :D

He practically hates One Direction so obviously I now like it and everytime I see a photo of them or something send it to him and tell him I want their book etc. Like all loving girlfriends do :) A couple of days ago he actually went to Poundland and while being at the till saw that they have some One Direction sweets stacked behind the till and asked if he could get some :D The cashier didn't understand what he wanted at first so he had to repeat Could I get some One Direction Sweets please :D HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA now I've scattered them in his room partly hidden partly for his other guests to see how much he loves 1D :) He occasionally finds them and sends me a text about how special I am :D LOL well you are the one who bought them so deal with the consequences.

Once I forgot the thing that lets me plug in my european plug into the british socket so I just did it my own way ;) He was so worried if it is safe and blah blah blah You canät do that! Blah blah blah. It took about ten minutes for him to calm down and see that it wont start a fire. When we were in the kitchen I casually told him that I can smell smoke and his rooms probably on fire. He practically ran to check :D LOL LOL I'm so mean :D But I can't help it :D Then when it was time to take it out I wanted to use the pen (that's how I got it in but he didn't see it then). He nearly had a heart attack. Okay yeah it is scary if you do not know what you are doing i guess but this is Britain everything is so freaking safe that I'm surprised people get hurt at all. Anyway I wanted to show him that you can't actually get electrocuted from their sockets and put my fingers on it. Another near heart attack! Do you know what the upper hole in their socket is? Protection! thats what it is, so if there is nothing plugged into it the socket is closed off. Not like our very very dangerous european sockets where you could get electrocuted all the time.

He's just so Special and so am I lol + I'm mean :D

Farewell

People who know me know that I get attached, to people and to things and the past week has been rough (nothing tragic :P just my dramatization ok?) having to move out of my flat and basically becoming homeless. I really liked my flat :( The packing was absolutely horrendous, having to pack my life into boxes and knowing that I can not unpack those things for a year or more, since I can only take one suitcase (yet again) to Corsica for next year (I promise I'll soon write about that!) with me :( Right now I have about three boxes of stuff that has to stay behind. And I promised everyone, mainly to myself that before I leave Aber, which is in a month and couple of weeks (ironically I've just started to like it here), I'd look through my stuff once again to throw out the things I do not need.

Anyway just wanted to say a BIG thank you to the people who helped me carry my stuff from one house to the other. That meant a lot :) The funniest moment: one box was very heavy - books mainly and my dear M, nearly collapsed carrying that :D My strong man :D And all of you others who did not mind waking up early in the morning or late at night to carry my shhhh through town, I do not know how i would've done it without you :) PS! going through town with the mattress was on of the highlights, since we dropped it at least twice :P

Went past my flat yesterday (after I was locked out of my new house - the longest day I've spent in Aber since everyone was busy, had a lunch by myself - awkward - and walked through town and every shop about a hundred times, all because my housemate was up in the library and did not have any credit on her phone etc, all the usual fail stuff that happens to me :D) and saw someone in there. In MY kitchen!!! How dare they. It was heartbreaking. There are new people living there now :( I want to live there!

To be honest I like the new house, I'm only staying there for a month til I'm gone. But it has big rooms with high ceilings, wow, amazing. The staircase, that we sat on one Friday night for a couple of hours when someone (probs my dear M) managed to lock us inside the house, is so cool and I'm a 100% certain that one day I will fall down the stairs, it is just bound to happen with my luck. At first it was a bit frightening especially when Deary (that's how M pronounces her name, LOL) is not home. I am pleasantly surprised on how well we get on :) I was a bit worried about that since we haven't really hung out before, but she's nice, well actually she is really mean and calls me names and so on, but I do the same to her so it is all right :)

That's the story of me moving house, you can only imagine how soppy I will be when I actually have to leave this town :D

Playlist :)

Ola mes amores, I´m so sorry about the epic grammar failures in that :D Tbh I do not even know in what language the greeting is, but you get it right? Please?! :D

Anyway time for the monthly soundtrack and for once I think I have more than 5 favourites, but do not worry I'll keep to my rules of 5 songs, though it is going to be a tough choice :D.

First my favourite Eurovision song (yeah, I know it was last month but I still like it maaaan)

The song I keep singing in my head all the time for the past week I think.

Something I've re-discovered (it shouldn't be an old song actually but I remember hearing it all the time a while back and only now suddenly finding it)

The song I have on replay now but didn't even listen to the chorus the first time it came out (although this is a slightly different version from the original)

Eesti!!!!
hmmm... funnily enough in the 24 songs I have on my current playlist there isn't anything Estonian but to keep up the tradition I'll find something just for you ;)

Hope you enjoy (I kinda wanna do another one too :D because so many songs I like were left out, like I said my current playlist has 24 songs that I'd like to share)

It's official!

... I can no longer refer to myself as single and ready to mingle :D Is it too soon? Well my brain is like yes, you´ve only known each other for 3 weeks. But it feels right! It does :) During my little holiday trip to home, I spent the day walking through Tallinns stunning old town and you know what I thought the whole time? - I wish M was here to see it. So wtf brain? One minute you´re coplaining that this is too fast and the other minute you´re the one making plans for him to already visit Estonia...

Funny story: he's been telling me a couple of days now that I'm the best girlfriend ever and in my mind I was like wtf man you haven't even asked me yet! But I said nothing :D To make it more dramatic later :D lol but then one day he realised that and asked me properly, naturally I said no (because he already thought that we were in a relationship without asking me! I won't let anyone push me around!) :D That's exactly what I love about this -  I can make my mean sarcastic jokes and he gets me. And I did say yes! Eventually.... :D No it sounds so bad, I did say yes! I just joked around with the no answer. And now, due to these little mean jokes we have a solid relationship :D because we get each other and do not freak out immediately if one of us says something like that. What else do I  need than him and the chance to be myself around him?

So I'm walking on air :D And everyone says we look cute together :) Awesome. I wish this summer would last forever and ever and ever.

Oh did I tell you he's texting me in Estonian now and trying to speak it :) That's how much he cares about me :) And I promised to pick up whatever Welsh he knew + he's teaching me all the weird northern sayings in English :D For example: Nothing wrong here is Naut wrong here - obviously I have no idea how to spell that word but hey, at least I´m trying!

WiFi Land

So I´m sitting at the best airport ever - meaning that we have free WiFi here. yay!

The week has gone by so quickly. The first two days were the transition stage. Nothing much to do just hang out and chill with le bros :D Then a cruise to Stockholm - ´cause we have connections that provided us with tickets for only 20 euros yay onupojapoliitika ;) When we got back from our family trip it was already Thursday. Where did the time go??? Went out for a couple of drinks with the few friends I have left in Estonia (most of my friends have gone abroad :( :) ) and accidentally bumped into my ex bff (we were 12 when I spent the summer practically at her place - but time drifted us apart) did some catching up. Then home, think about packing. Yeah just think while being a pirate ;)

Now I´m here, returning to the UK. To tell you the truth it´s bitter sweet. I want to got back (you know why) but I don´t want to leave. *insert dramatic music*

Time to go home

And the first time since I've been here I don't really want to go... Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited to see my family and home town and my cat, my precious little kitty cat (sidenote: Once I was walking and heard someone behind me - it was dark - I looked around - no one then I heard like a little bell and saw a kitty is following me - awwwww - so for the next ten minutes I just sat on the pavement in the middle of the night petting that cat :D that's how much I miss mine). So far I haven't packed one single thing and I have to be on the train to Manchester half 9 tomorrow morning + I have to spend the whole day at work today, so time's running out and yet I'm just sitting here doing nothing, well I am writing this post so you must be happy, lol :D Anyway can you guess why I suddenly started to kinda like the awful Aber? Yeah probably :D Well it is definitely too soon to be something serious (hey, we only met less than a week ago - officially, if you know what I mean - you don't but no need to worry that's an inside joke that I have mostly with myself :D ). But yeah He managed to come along and ruin all my plans. Last week I couldn't wait to get out of here (just for a week but still), now I can't wait to come back, oh god. I gave up on the brits already stating to everyone that I'll try my luck in France next year (oh shit I haven't written that post yet have I? Ooops, I'll try writing about my plans pretty soon) and get a special someone there but no again He has to come along and ruin everything :D And by ruining everything I obviously mean made every single day sooooo much better :) We shall see what happens but this promises to be the best summer ever :D

Told Y'all!

that I'd fail at writing my fail post ;) failception

And yes it took me about a week or longer to write this follow-up although it had been circling my mind the day after my last post :D

Anyway the funniest fail of the day when I managed to lock myself out of my flat was not that can you believe it or not. While I was doing my shopping at co-op where I never take a basket because

  1. I sincerely believe that I do not need it since I don't really need to buy more than ~3 things (yep you guessed it - a failure on my part every damn time, because obviously I end up finding loads of stuff that I just need to have! - once I broke a yoghurt because it fell from my overfilled arms :D oops Keep calm and pretend nothing happened... (I hate these kind of customers :P ) )
  2. Where the hell are they anyway????? I never notice the baskets anywhere when I'm entering the store!
Then when I had gotten everything I needed + loads of stuff that I didn't need I went to the till and put my things on the counter. Shortly realising that the reason I went there was to get sponges and bleach... yeah well looking at my stuff on the counter - surprise surprise no sponges nor a bleach. So obviously I started to take my stuff off the counter to go and find the sponges, while doing that I noticed that the guy in front of me was laughing!!!! No, not just discreetly smiling but full on laughing! The bastard! :D (I would've done the same if I'd been in his position). So I muttered that I'd forgotten something and ran off, later thinking maybe my way of saying that was too harsh, I kind of snapped at him, but hey! He was laughing at me and it came as a surprise so I panicked and needed to explain myself :D And then I had to lurk in the aisles (it took me 5 seconds to find the sponges) and wait for him to leave, because I didn't want run in to him again :D

Talking about shopping fails, I once decided to cook pasta but I didn't have pasta nor eggs (I fry them with eggs) and needed to go to the store for them. Since Lidl has recently changed their product placement on the shopfloor I could not find the pasta where it used to be before, I kept calm and thought never mind, I'll find it eventually. Got my eggs, milk, vegetables + all other random shit that just caught my eyes. Had to buy a freaking carrier bag as well, cause yet again I sincerely believe that I'm going to buy few things that'll fit in my bag and do not bring an extra plastic bag. I'm wrong every time -.-

Finally got home, chilled a bit from the exhausting shopping trip and thought right I'll start cooking then. The water was already boiling when I noticed that I do not have anything to boil since I'd forgotten all about the stupid pasta!!!!!!!! Yeap, that's the main reason I went to the shop and that's the thing I didn't get! U serious brain? Why oh why?

I remembered another funny fail today. It was last summer when there was just a couple of us here (my friends I mean) and it was boring as ... So one day me and a friend went to Morrisons to buy some random crap and then decided to go up the other hill that's a bit out of town. Luckily we didn't have any grocery bags with us at the time :D Mõeldud - tehtud. It took us a long time to find the path that'd actually take us up there, we considered climbing over fences at one point but finally found the footpath. Then we saw a trail that seemed to be going straight up hill (well not straight but the official path took us around the hill, creeping up slowly). So we decided to go there. Bad idea, it was muddy - my friend was wearing white tights :D At one point it started raining slightly - not too bad but the path was horrible and muddy and we just hung on to tree branches for our lives in order not to slip :D But we got half way up the hill when a wild fence appeared. The fudge?!?!? Btw we were starting to doubt if the path we'd taken was really a proper path... Looked a bit funny at times but no turning back now, so we continued next to the fence hoping to find our way out (going back would've been more horrible at that point). Sidenote we were screaming a lot and I think at one point I actually slipped and fell :D but since we had drinking a bit beforehand - we were not drunk! everything was funnier :D

Finally after two hours of torture we found our way out and continued on the footpath we originally decided to take before the aforementioned shortcut to nowhere. Got up the hill, admired the breathtaking view etc. And when we came back dow we decided to look how much time it would take to get from the point where we came out of the woods (shortcut) to the start of the shortcut hell. Take your guesses! Remember we spent about 2 hours just screaming and slipping and tripping and cussing and hating every single thing about Aber til we finally found the footpath again. Go on have a guess! I can bet you that your assumption is not even close to the actual time ;)

Time for the thruth - if we hadn't been trying to be smart and taken the shortcut for two hours, the length of the shortcut would've taken us exactly 4 minutes if we'd stick to the actual footpath. Yeah 4 minutes!!!!   4 freaking minutes equals 2 hours! Genius :D :D :D
