It's been quite a stressful and busy summer that I haven't even had time to list my fave music in forever! Awful. How can I possibly remember what music I liked?
Camilla Cabello - No Crying In The Club, Christina Genie mashup
no doubt my absolute summer fave!
Katy Perry - Bon Appetit
Taylor Swift - Look What You Made Me Do
Dua Lipa - New Rules
And the newest Taylor Swift that did not impress me at all the first time I listened but now the vide has come out... Digging it!!!
A bit too late but these were my favourite songs from Eurovision 2017:
1. Hungary I didn't actually like it the first time in the semi-finals mostly because of the rap part but then the refrain just really got stuck in my head and I now find that this song is brilliant! (still not a big fan of the rap but what can I do)
2. Armenia - Also found from the final - the camera movement in the first part is amazing and then the dancers! Loved them! The song is good too :D
3. UK - One of the best songs I think and did you notice she was singing ALONE! no backup singers! it was solely her voice which is ahmazingggg! Yes the faces were a bit funny but she put her heart and soul into it
Honorable mentions are Moldova, Azerbaijan and Cyprus
Soooo.. knowing me writing about something that happened two days before is Amazeballs. Wow so quick. The truth is I'm just afraid that I'll forget all the emotions (like I always do).
Yes I'm talking about Eurovision. This year it kind of came and went so quickly I didn't even have a chance to blink, or to pick my favourite song or anything. Oh it's eurovision week? Thanks for reminding me Ems.
I did though find time to sit through all the shows. Am I getting old or is it getting more boring by the year? Literally by the final I couldn't remember any of the songs :D Now that I think really hard I can bring out 2 that I liked: Austria and Cyprus. The first is cute the other is hot hot hot :D
Dare I mentioned the dreaded Estonian entry? I actually liked it in the national selection final, wasn't my favourite but my ears didn't bleed also. And what the actual **** did they do? What was that? That was not the song we chose? That "inviting" hand gesture... oh god... was not so inviting after he'd done it 24958million times!!!!! And that card trick??? Was that a trick? I didn't get it. Did it go wrong? or was that what it was supposed to be? I'm not surprised we didn't get through, not one bit...
The changes in voting we're actually a success, there was more tension! Although at first we thought sure thing Australia is going to win, they were so far ahead. And then boom! Wow! Me likes it :) I did enjoy Ukraine's song and message and HAHAHA to Russia!
WOW is all I can say :D I don't think I can actually describe it.
When you look at today's artists there isn't really anyone that stands out that yeah they are f***** stars that will be remembered in years to come (or is it just me?). And then you suddenly realise that Adele is definitely in that category (or is it just me?).
My point is I've freaking been to her concert!!!! yah man! ME! saw Adele live!!! And pretty close up as well if I say so myself :D side view mind you but she moved around quite a bit and kept waving at everyone so that didn't even bother me. When I got the ticket and checked the seat I was quite bummed. Thought I'm not gonna see ****. Then I walked in and awed out loud. Literally people to the left of me did the same (would've been ideal to be in the next section). And the poor people to the right. God bless 'em. They couldn't believe it. They were practically behind the stage :(
You might be thinking that it's quite boring sitting through an Adele concert, well because most of her songs are quite miserable. But she herself is such a laugh and a presence that I wasn't bored one bit. Oh and damn that girl can sing!
It was ahmazingggggg!!!! Definitely one of the nights I'll long remember :) (+ I recorded a few videos to watch back :D) (maybe if I get around to it I'll upload them here :D)
Ooooh and yes I got some confetti ;) had to push past people leaving because it didn't rain on me :(
This time is really hard as haven't found any new music that I like to be honest :( Not even listening to my ipod that much any more :O walks in silence... wow...
Anyway since I didn't pick an Estonian song last time I'll make up for it by putting only Estonian songs this time (Eurovision selection time :D)
Only heard a snippet of the woman's part while in Estonia and loved it immediately.
Genka ft Paul Oja - Kõik
A remix of a great song that has been haunting me for a while now
Liis Lemsalu - Sunflowers
Not sure if I like this song or not :D It's really interesting though
This time again I had loads to choose from and hopefully got the right ones here.
Selena Gomez ft Asap Rocky - Good for You
I kind of only like the first part though :D
The Corrs - Bring on the night
Fell in love immediately when I heard it :)
Philip George - Alone no more
This just reminds me of summer and holidays :)
Wstrn - In2
It took me a while to find this because trying to catch lyric snippets while it's playing on the radio is quite hard :D
Grace ft G-Eazy - You don't own me
First I heard on the House of Fraser christmas ad and was actually contemplating putting that up... Oh hell I'll do it because I really like the ad, and the song obvs.
I hope this is the full version :D Such a wrong version the first time :d
Why is it that there's loads of songs in my head until I need to make that post and then it's...all gone? Although, this time there are new songs that I keep hearing from the radio but I just don't know who sings them or the titles -.-
Discovered this one when watching Home and Away, his "Surrender" is also good.
This is my "must listen" song of every evening as it's just so dancey and put me in a good mood.
Last 2 are difficult ones, but picked these and left out Rita Ora "Body On Me" as the addiction for that song has passed.
Since I haven't heard any good new songs released is Estonian I posted this one by Estonians.
This month is a struggle again :( Basically I don't really listen to these songs at home but when they're on the radio I like them :D I'm still majorly crushing on my playlist that I made two months ago. ooooh a major music fail this month too. I basically forced Mr. Special to buy Now That's What I call Music 91. because the last one was a hit and we listened to it everytime when we were in the car and he'd failed to download it and put it on the cd.... There's literally only 2-3 songs we like though :( what a waste of money :D
I think I love every version of the Chaka Khan's song so this is no exception :)
Little mix - Black Magic
Fifth Harmony - Worth it
would be way better if didn't repeat the same lyrics 500 times :/
Obviously as soon as I'd posted my last playlist, saying that found it hard finding the songs, I remember the Fast and the Furious new film and soundtrack -.- so yeah I have more than enough this month :D
David Guetta feat Nicki Minaj - Hey Mama
I love their collabs and this is won my ears from the first time I kind of heard a teaser/chipmunk version of it :D
Now the Fast and Furious 7 :)
Flo Rida - GDFR
Kid Ink, Tyga - Ride Out
Sevyn Streeter - How Bad Do You Want It?
With the Estonian song though, I haven't really discovered anything "new" so had to especially look for it :D and came up with a song I heard on the radio once about a month ago, think I knew the singers but took an hour to actually find the song :D It was Stig's "rapping" that made it memorable
It's my turn to do the playlist, well, i should have done it yesterday... Have lots of songs, but no idea how to choose the ones to add here :/
This was my favourite for quite some time.
Then I was listening to that when I was planning to return home, had big plans to go out and party once I'm back, yeah, never happened :D
Back in the UK it was kinda cool that since I didn't have anything to do after work and was spending lots of time home alone I was watching all the music channels - so got to know all the new stuff and also learned all the charts. Anyhow, this was the song I put on when going to work in the mornings.
This is just chill, comes in radio every day I drive home, less now as it's getting older and new music is coming out.
'Laula mu laulu' where singers sing songs from others repertory (with their own twist) has had many great songs, was difficult to choose between this and Maarja-Liis Ilus "Lumevärv", but I used to listen to 2 Quick Start when I was young, so I linked this one. Really hoping 2QS would have some summer concerts, would be cool to go and see them again :)
OMG I initially posted this two days earlier :D That just shows how stressed I am with everything lol don't know even what day it is anymore. And today I almost forgot... :(
Hey y'all time for another bimonthly music and unfortunately I have to say I don't have any new discoveries this time round coz I've listened to all of them for at least a month now :D
First a crush to a song that I haven't had a loooong time. I just keep this one on replay at all times + it has a nice 90s vibe to it so it reminds me of my childhood :D :
Blonde - I loved you
Next is the song that comes on the radio and I love it but I never actually got round to listening to it on my own:
Selena Gomez - The Heart Wants What It Wants
Now an awesome uplifting song :)
Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk
Nabiha - Animals
And this years Estonian Eurovision Song that I LOVE, I'd heard it before on the radio but would never in a million years guessed that it was an estonian song. Seriously and I'm so happy it won our national selection this year (the other songs were bleh, seriously this was the only one I liked)
