It's my Birthday and I'll cry if I want to!

Welcome to this yearly post of events happening in the world aaaaand this time it's all about Coronavirus! BOOOOOO! which means I am sitting at home (should be in Japan), drinking a bottle of Asti I found in the cupboard and eating a takeaway from Backyard BBQ and cakes from Ridiculously Rich by Alana

As of today 5pm press conference by Boris Johnson (daily occurence as of this week) all of the restaurants/pubs/cinemas/gyms/leisure centres etc are to shut their doors for unknown time. They are still allowed to provide deliveries and takeaways though. Also the government announced that they will pay all of those workers 80% of their wages. (meanwhile shop workers still have to go to work and risk getting infected with covid-19 with no extra pay). All schools are closed as well. All sports events are cancelled most possibly even the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the summer.

Italy is in FULL lockdown for about a week now. Reports are saying that the canals in Venice have crystal clear water, fish and swans have returned and even Dolphins!

China has reported that the spread of the disease is drastically slowing down their, no new cases reported and the special hospitals are being demolished.

There's a lot of people stuck in foreign countries and special flights and ferries are being put on for repatriation. Apparently there are a bunch of Baltic citizens stuck on the border of Poland as they won't let them in to drive home.  Most countries have closed their borders completely.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quit being Royals and moved to Canada. (a short while ago not today).

All exams have been cancelled.

Yeap so it's all about Covid-19 at the moment. Expecting UK to go into full lockdown soon as well...

Birthday post

Hi, hello, how are you?

Me?
I’m super late with posts 😀 but! I’m jumping ahead quickly to continue a tradition. And that is my birthday post, which is super important! This year I’m in Mykonos!, woop woop. On a side note i hope i do get to  post about this trip before new year? Is that a realistic goal right now for me? Considering i still have to write about my Christmas trips 😀

Soooooo what’s happening in the world? Brexit should be happening in the next week but they cannot agree on a deal! May has been trying to push her best deal through the parliament again and again but to no avail. Now their pushing brexit back, maybe until June, maybe til the end of the year, maybe forever at this rate. It’s beyond a joke now 😀 and there’ll be european parliament elections soon... hmmmm I know three years ago you said you want to leave but please choose your new representatives now 😀

In Estonia another political “crisis”. We had an election on the third of March and still no government has been appointed. Because the party (reform) who won can’t seem to strike a deal with the others 😀 so now the 3 parties ( kesk, isamaa ja ekre) whose seats combined will be more than the winning party’s might make a coalition, as their closer in views than the winners, and the winning party will be left out of the government if that happens. Exciting times.

B-day

I've kind of wanted to make a tradition of writing down what happened on my birthday every year. So this year I didn't really pay much attention to world news and when I tried to look back I couldn't really find anything so nothing important :D

But what did I do?

Mr. Special woke me up by singing happy birthday and bringing me breakfast in bed (potato pancakes yum). Then I went to swimming in the pool, like I promised myself I would every Sunday from now on. It's freaking expensive though :D £3.50 for a go. When you're a member it's only a pound though :( But the membership is like a yearlong commitment... Not a fan. If it was monthly or even three monthly I would be on it like a bonnet.

Then we went to the first Sunday Lunch Nick's has offered. A bit pricey but good. I love they're little posh twist on traditional food :) Just what we need in this little town. Then cocktail time at libertine. My fave is the banana cocktail that smokes. Since we started a bit early, khm 6 o'clock. We needed food on a Sunday night, in a little Welsh town that has been abandoned by students for the easter break... Needless to say most places were closed. But Little Italy wasn't (although I'm not their biggest fan).

We were quite lucky though since we got their last table. Yay. They even had people sitting downstairs :O never seen that ever. Food was alright. I convinced Ruby to try mussels, which she liked :) and we ended the meal with Limoncello shots. I managed to spill half of mine on the table...

AAAAAnd then all of a sudden the couple at the back corner stood up and started hugging each other. OMG we just witnessed a proposal!!! Did we? Sure? Yeah she's crying!! Omg!!! :D
