when there are more people saying hi because I regularly serve them at work than those who I study with, one is clearly working too much.
And why are the lectures sooo boring??? Anyone?
As I'm not listening anyway, I might as well tell you about my new flatmate, a guy from Denmark, politics student too, although doing his masters already. His girlfiend, who is French, is pretty much living here too, as she has more stuff in the bathroom than the guy. Anyway, so far so good, haven't been home a lot, so can't really tell much, but they made my day on Sunday, offered me a free lunch, as they made too much pasta and I don't mean like boiled too much, but they made pasta from scratch, so I had a decent lunch, and got cake today, bcs they were nice again and left me a note that I can help myself with that. And tomorrow they are baking bread...my point is that thee are a fancy couple when it comes to cooking :D
And of course have to mention work, had the biggest row ever today after refusing to sell alcohol to 2 ladies, real biatches. And obviously, my dear le bf is never there when needed, one till crashed before those 2, so he was at the office sorting this out and didn't bother to come to cancel the transaction, when I buzzed him after I got rid of them. And he is telling me that I should have buzzed for him to get rid of those 2, well, I buzzed for you after and you did not come, one guy had to wait like 5 minutes to buy a freakin' chewing gum, gave up eventually and left a pound for a it. So if I would have buzzed him earlier, would it have made a difference? Oh well, thanks ladies, at least you spiced up my 6 hours.
Had one couple too, the guy didn't have his ID, so he tried to convince, that he just casually walked in and blablabla, so he was really in the mood of starting an argument there, but the girl said that it wouldn't help, so he was like, they will go to another shop, but yet they were back like 10 minutes later with his ID and guess what, he wasn't even that old to be offended about me asking his ID.

Attendance
Feels like I'm in middle school again -.-
Anyway the School of Business and Management has decided that from September they do not record lectures any more (fine by me, never used them anyway :D) to increase attendance. And now there are sign up sheets in every single lecture circling in the lecture to make sure that you do attend the lectures (which I'm so sorry to say but indeed are amazingly boring...).
In last Monday's Management Research Project the same thing obviously, but the attendance sheet got stuck in the front row -.- c'mon people is this the first time you've seen something like that? Write your name down and pass it on, not that hard! So sitting in the 5th or so row me and Rebecka were a bit anxious to get our names down, I don't know why it's always the highlight of our lectures - yeah, writing my name there means that it was worth while to come to the lecture, otherwise it would be pointless duh... If no one checks why should I attend :D lol I'd attend anyway, because if I wouldn't even attend the few lectures I do have what's the point in being here + I'm scared to miss anything important, although they never say anything really really important in lectures... yeah I know weird. Ok I'd probably skip at least half of the lectures ;)
Due our lovely university's stupid incapability of putting up the correct timetable before lectures actually start Rebecka now had a clash: one hour the above-mentioned 2 hour management lecture and a Spanish class that she could register a time she liked and taken into account that prior to that registration we only had one hour of the management lecture she registered to a Spanish group right after that one. Convenient isn't it? You just got punk'd B! Surprise!!! the management lecture is a double lecture on Monday, not one hour on Monday and another on Wednesday as the timetable said. So she now has to skip half of the lectures anyway since all the other Spanish groups were already full (or just at a really stupid time :D :P). Since I'm such a good friend I have to write her name on the management attendance sheet. So last Monday when we realized that someone is being an weirdo and not passing on the attendance sheet so she could sign her own name to it I started practising writing in a different handwriting -.- not my best effort :D but hey, maybe they won't notice and if they do, so what?
The break came and Rebecka had to leave (so did half of the other pupils apparently :D ) and I noticed a small queue in front of the first row. Ahhhhaaaa! I see what you did there :D fighting to urge to go and also stand in the stupid queue I hoped that someone would circulate it once again and to my luck there was such a person who also had lazy friends. So the sheet circulated around me so the stupid friends and their friends could all write their names down and then it went a couple of rows behind me -.- a-holes like really? you could've handed it to me so I could also write my name down and then I would've given it back to you!!! god people annoy me so much!
Then the break is over and the lecturer comes looking for the attendance sheet as he wants us to sign another one for the second half -.- fooooook I haven't signed for the first one yet, but since there are many others who start complaining about it it's fine and he doesn't confiscate the first one. Luckily the other tourism students are sitting two rows behind me and pass the attendance sheet to me, so I wouldn't be absent from the first lecture. Obviously put down Rebecka's name as well, worst impression of a different person's handwriting ever but at that point I do not care any more, I'm so stressed!
Now waiting for the other half to reach me, I'm eyeing it's journey every once in a while to make sure it is indeed being passed around. So the paper finally got to me, wrote down both of our names - another epic fail of trying to do two different handwritings, this time had to do a signature too, omfg well yeah congrats Rebecka you just went full retarded when it comes to signing attendance sheets LOL :D Finally got to relax for a while until I noticed whoa whoa whoa there's a third sheet?????? Did I just wrote our names on the other side of the attendance sheet for the first half.... Noooooooooooo!!!!!! Please tell me that's not true!! Shoot me please. Why oh why didn't I check that the second one is indeed intended for the second half? Freaking have to write 3 times our names - that's too much! I'm 100% positive that some people actually did write their name three times -.- So stressing about the third sheet and my foook up I don't have any clue what the second half of the lecture was about. At all. No idea... Cool story bro! Great lectures indeed 9AM on a freaking Monday!!!
Anyway the lecture ended before the third sheet could reach me and immediately the lecturer ran up the stairs (not literally ;)) to collect them. Shoot, can I now write Rebecka's name down, if I have to do it in front of him??? What to do? What to do? Ran down, was the first one to get to the desk YAY, there was another guy right behind me. Asked which is the first half which the second and guess what? I'd written our names to the correct ones ouyeah baby!! I was like oh this the second one? Checked the name list to see if our names were on that, probably took too long 'cause he was saying the third time that this is the second half - yeah I got you the first time! Saw our names, was stupidly happy and said bye-bye and left the lecture hall to calm down before real work aka French starts.
Talk about stress!

The story of my life at the moment
So, my exams are over too, had them on Wednesday and Friday. Wednesday one was about Multiculturalism, as always, waited until the very last minute to start revising, hopefully won't fail, as I have the same problem with Jazz, I just can't be asked there to write. The lights were weird, so my eyes started to hurt, then my wrist started to hurt, modern students like we are, have to write hardly ever and if that ever comes, wrist starts to hurt, so there I was, looking around, then writing, looking around. The two hours passed surprisingly quickly.
The other one was pre-seen and about Islam and foreign policy, oh well, kinda ashamed of myself, I have a pre-seen exam and I still cba to prepare so that I would be 110% ready. And on top of that, the exam was in the other campus, the one where I haven't been, so had no idea where to go, and it was obviously the morning one, to make things even better. Luckily my dear le bf took me and Liz there. So the exam starts, I know which questions to answer, would have been ready with an hour or so, but you know the feeling when you just have to sit there almost until the end, because then it makes you think that you gave maximum, well, haha, my nail broke, so I tried to get it into a better condition, looked around, wasted time, to be honest, and then after an hour realized that I haven't even written the conclusion for my first question, lol. But had shorter answer for the second one anyway, so no problemo. Left the exam room a little bit before the last 15 minutes when you can't leave, so was just in time. And just to reassure, no, I did not read it through :D And obviously got back with le bf again, thanks!
Today started the new semester, if I'm lucky (fingers crossed that I am) I will have 2 days off from uni, how great is that. Not looking forward tho, me wantz summer, me no likes to study anymore.
Anyway, that's it about uni, now let's write about what I get paid for.
On sunday, one man, who was weird, I mean, if you want something, speak so that I can understand, not just mutter around and talk nonsense stuff, so the longer he was like that the more mean was my look, and then he commented that I don't look like a happy bunny, wtf? U serious? I obviously don't when you are being abnormal.
Today, again, why are people being silly, if your bill is 3.75 and you ask for 10 pounds cashback and then ask if the 3.75 is with the 10 pounds before inserting your card. No, it's not, since when is 3.75 plus 10 still 3.75, that's an awesome maths now, isn't it. Educated as you are here, read the instructions which the machine gives you, stick your card in first and then you will get your cashback.
Oh, one workman comes to store to flirt with me or something, came like 4 times today, unluckily got served by le bf for two times, but just sayin', I'm not going to do anything after work which would include you, sorry.
Then, one couple, wanted to buy whiskey, ID-ed them, the lad didn't have his ID, offered me a railcard, again, u serious??? And after refusing to sell them, the girl started to speak really loud like a child, who didn't get what she wanted, didn't understand their language tho, so it was even more awkward. So the lad asked if they can buy beer, dude, what's wrong with you, alcohol is alcohol, and no is a no.
And the best part of the night, one older man who wanted cashback, oopsy daisy, but I forgot to put it through, so after pressing enter for no cashback realized that he asked for it, so pressed cancel on the card machine before he typed in his pin, he asked for the void transaction receipt, but till doesn't give one, unless the pin is entered and then the transaction is voided, so he started to bitch there and wanted to speak to my manager, lol, me and my le bf were the only ones working at this time, he waited for other customers to leave and then asked for a phone number or God knows what, in case the money was taken from his account, like for fuck's sake, you didn't enter your pin, how the hell do you think that money was taken??? It would mean that I can take whoever's card and if I put it into the machine, the money is automatically taken out, ridiculous.
Oh, forgot someone, one woman came to store, soaking wet, said that it was the waves, lol, the person behind her thought that she peed, anyhow, everything was wet, the floor, and the counter, so had to clean after she left, great fun.
I think that's it, but seriously people, please stop being ridiculous.
And thanks to all these people, who make me smile, luckily, not all the customers are weird :D

Playlist time again :P
Maybe I have been in a sad mood too much lately, but there is something about the way James sings this song.
Based on the first four songs, I'm definitely not a happy puppy :/
: - O But I'm starting to like Conor more and more.

PS! I hope I didn't bring you all down with my song choices.

I'm done! YAY
With the exams that is :)
To be honest it wasn't a particularly stressful exam period as I wrote about my first exam, I started studying for it what two days before, and note studying not revising, because I skipped half of the lecture and the other half, the ones you had to sign your name to prove attendance, read a book or just stared blankly at the screen or something... And I am a bit worried about that result... Oh god please do not let me fail! No I won't fail and that's the main thing right now, not to fail, although I don't know what kind of an education will I get with these studying habits.
I had my second, and last exam Tuesday early morning, thought that as I'm working Monday evening I'll start my studying Sunday and I did! But... I looked at the revision questions and was like... hmmm... this seems to be really easy, you only need to know a couple of facts or definitions about each topic and elaborate on those topics... Easy right? So naturally I spent my time on tumblr, 9gag, facebook etc. Practically didn't study at all, I literally had less than an a4 paper of notes for a freaking university exam that's supposed to be hard and whatever else. So as I always do in good faith, put my alarm clock at 7am (the exam was 9.30) in order to wake up and do some last minute revision yeah well, I Finally got up at 8am and still had time to play cards on the computer for about half an hour, instead of revising... Great... Good job.
All in all I think and am totally confident that the last exam went well :) I had so much to write about and even answered a question that I hadn't prepared for since it was mostly logical explanations and common knowledge stuff, so naturally was in a really good mood after. Later even my boss at work noticed and asked what happened, why am I smiling?? :D I do smile... sometimes... I'm not that grumpy am I? :D Haha, well I'm trying to be happier and to smile at people but I can't help the fact that I'm the kind of person who needs a reason to happy and not the other way round.
Later that night we went out with the tourism lot and it was so much fun that everyone was saying we should do this more often! :) PS! whenever the rare occasion is that they decide to do something together, I usually working -.- and everyone were yet again surprised that I'm not working that evening. Well I was supposed to be, yeah Murphy's Laws in action again, but thankfully got to swap my shift to a day one :) So we went to the Rummers pub. I haven't really been there before and don't know why??? It was such a nice pub, cheap drinks (vodka shot for 95p or something, though tequila was expensive), maybe it was just because of Tuesday night promotions but yeah, I have to go there more often! Not that I really know what's happening at other pubs but I think I've been to quite a few of them at least once and none have left a good impression that I'd like to return, except for Rummers of course ;) And another first: each and every one of us bought rounds of shots to everyone, I've never done that before. It felt gooooooood :D

Severe weather conditions
After I have taken my biggest and warmest true winter coat home-home, the weather decided to pull a prank on me: it's cold here now punk! Where's your warm coat? Ah? Murphy's Laws for the win!
Had my alarm go off at 11AM today.. naturally snoozed it until half past and then really opened my eyes and I was shocked and instantly awake: my window is opposite my bed and since curtains are for the weak I rarely use them ;) and I was greeted with snowy rooftops (awesome view from my window to a car park - just like my last flat had - hmmm... I see a pattern forming) and the Consti Hill mainly covered in snow. What? in Aber? Really??? Wow dudes, just wow! This was supposed to be a warm place! I've been deceived!
Okay, don't get too excited, to those of you who know what REAL SNOW :D is, it's nothing, you can still see the grass patches and nothings settled on the ground in town. So yeah back home, no one would've too bothered about it but oh no here a red warning due to severe weather conditions! Ok, maybe outside town there is a little bit more snow but I doubt it'll be severe. Saw a couple of car tops covered in melting snow slurry in the car park of supermarkets, but yeah a usual October or April for us snowy types :P
Oh look it's snowing outside again :) -.- Anyway, my official uni mailbox is being spammed by the uni with weather updates and how proud they are to state that all exams are still taking place as planned etc. Well congratulations, really, great effort from you guys :) I'm as proud as you, although I remember a couple of years back when we, back home that is, had like -20 degrees or even more, and I was debating wether to go to school or not, tempting to miss it (I lived half an hour of a bus ride away) but my conscious wouldn't let me, so as nothing I slumped through knee high snow to school trying to step into the footsteps of my predecessors thinking nothing of it really, just something you have to do, since it had to be at least -25 degrees or so to be an official snow day. Fun times :)
One of the first e-mails from my uni about the severe snow here :) Bless them:
It is your responsibility to allow sufficient time to reach the examination venue; however, the University does not expect any student to put themselves at risk, either at the University, or in travelling to the University. If a student is prevented from attending an examination due to severe/adverse weather conditions, they should inform their academic department as soon as possible by email or telephone call. If a student is unable to take an examination due to severe/adverse weather conditions they should complete a special circumstances form.
Although I would really really really like a definition of putting myself at risk. I understand that the roads may be a bit slippery (although the snow melts immediately when in contact with pavement, as I've seen) if you don't have special winter tyres, which no one around here does. What's the point if you only get this kind of snow for a couple of days. But most of the student's do live in town and walk to uni, sorry, can't really see the obstacle of making it to the exam on time... But thanks for caring :) (5 updates they've sent so far in one day...)

Me iz ill + the first exam has been done
First of all, sorry for the long time between posts but I have a valid reason, sort of. I'm ill for nearly two weeks now! What's going on? ME?! I can't remember the last time I was this ill. I still go to work though to suffer because it's not particularly nice being on tills with a sore throat and try to squeak out Hi! and the amount and if they need a bag! It's just too much for me right now :D So everytime my voice lets me down I make a funny face to myself like what the freak is wrong with me! Be normal please!! On the plus side, I decided to not upsell anything this week since my voice is gone. Good excuse yeah? It is... :D
So for the past two weeks I've been just staying in bed mainly, and going to work, until now!
Today I had my first exam Marketing Management for which I literally started studying (not revising, no no revising done) yesterday... yeah, even I was like what the hell are you doing???!!! You should be studying your ass off now! But no, I simply didn't have any motivation at all... From the past papers I chose three topics that would most likely be in the exam and studied only them. Yep, that's how exams here are conducted, you study the things you want from the list and if it's not on the exam well... HAfreakingHA :D Kind of sad actually... Like for the past three years Nike case study has been in the exam and we did that in one of our seminars this year, so statistically Nike for the win... until you get the exam paper and it's not there and you thank yourself for not bothering to read through the multiple files about it and took culture topic instead :D Boy that was Lucky!
Regarding the exams, my biggest enemy is myself, specifically my laziness, I can't be bothered to study hard before the exams and when I get there half of the time given to us (3 hours is wayyyy too much) I just stare blankly at something and think irrelevant thought because I can't be bothered to write. But! this is the time I've actually written the most pages :D Weird. So I don't know hoe to feel about it, I think I passed - if not all hell's about to brake loose - I can't go abroad next year, and that's the thing I'm living for right now!
And it's a 100% exam, no essays no nothing just the exam... Yeah Jazzz, I thought you were good at strategic stuff??? That's not very smart is it? думат нада!!!!! Oh god, but well I actually surprised myself at how much I had to write about the tree things so that must be good sign? Please?! And I didn't just write some stupid bullshit, I had definitions (my own, not the legit ones :D), I used examples and I made logical assumptions based on what I'd written before. All good things! :) But there should've been more. I know that, I knew that when I was just sitting there watching others writing, but I was just not bothered enough... minimum for the win! hopefully! :D
