What's that smell?

Today was my day off, from everything, got woken up by a text by my boss because yesterday my till had been down ( needless to say I freaked out big time :D ) so at 9AM watched a couple of episodes of 2 broke girls and when it was time to get up properly and do something productive at 11AM I instead felt really tired and stayed in bed... lol then at some point I started to smell something burning. At first I thought that it was my radiator which becomes really hot and that I've left it on for the entire night ( I usually turn it off when I'm not in my room, just in case) and that something was in contact with it and now either melting or burning. In fact a couple of days ago I had a dream that something a DVD case was melting because of it and actually in fear of that happening woke up from my dream.

Anyway back to today: I soon realised that I indeed had switched the radiator off and stayed in bed for longer thinking nothing of the burning smell, probs coming from outside or something. Then the smell got a bit stronger and I decided I've been in bed far too long. And when I opened my room door guess what! The corridor was filled with blue smoke. I was like crap... but not really bothered for some reason, went to the kitchen and the oven was working.

Quickly turned it off, opened all the windows. People on the street must've thought that crazy people live in this flat because who in their right mind would open three windows in February? And closed the fire door that separates the corridor from the living room / kitchen as the fire alarm in the corridor reacts to smoke and the one in the kitchen to heat. Thankfully there wasn't that much smoke to set the fire alarm off, that would've been awkward as I was in my PJ's (it was about 3PM :D ). Finally went to see what my flatmate was trying to cook then when she unexpectedly had to leave :D Looked like lumps of coal, previously known as potatoes. Good times :) Can they actually catch fire? Well I hope I never find out ;)

Later my flatmate came to apologise and to thank me for saving the day, god knows what would've happened if I would actually be a busy-busy person who has loads of important stuff to do and has to leave home early in the morning to return late at night ;)

Anyway as I came home now, quarter to eleven pm, I could still smell burning in the general hallway from our flat. ooops :D Not my fault though haha, so opened the window again - gonna be cold for a change in our flat ;)

Ttyl ;)
Jazzz...
(I'm embarrased to say this but I actually forgot for a second how I usually write my name here! The smoke has gotten into my brain and made all fussy!)
