Lynx escape

Sooooo... we have  a tiny zoo in a nearby town. Privately owned. Real tiny. But somehow they've managed to have a few lions and now lynxes. The lions have always been a controversial subject there as it's basically a homebrewn zoo and in quite of a state. I think it has had a couple of different owners since I've lived here and town folk are torn up about it. Is it good or is it bad?

One day (a few months ago now as I am superfast in writing up these posts) news came out that a lynx had escaped it's enclosure and was roaming around freely.  Furthermore it could've been up to three days prior to the news that the lynx actually escaped... but they didn't notice until now :O Farmers were freaked out - what about their sheep? Mummys were freaked out - what about their young children?

There were a few sightings of the young lynx girl meaning she was still in the vicinity but no one could catch her. Until about a week later when news came in that she had been shot... :( Outrage towards the council (it was their hired shooter) for killing a little baby basically. Poor little lynx and poor little zoo.

A day or two later news came in that another lynx had died at the zoo! Strangled to death! Apparently the council was supposed to do a full investigation of the enclosures in the zoo to see if the zoo indeed is safe for animals, especially big cats. So the staff panicked and started moving the lynxes to another (bigger/better?) enclosure and that's when the terrible accident happened...

Huge backlash against the zoo now...

People did go there to help them with modernising and repairing the enclosures and I think they've had a ban on having dangerous animals in there now which they are appealing against.

Oh and a few days before this dozens of octopuses crawled along a beach in another nearby town...

And before all of this the deadly Portuguese man o'war washed up on the beaches here as well...

Curious curious...

Ttyl ;)
Jazzz...
