...at least Jazz said so :D (for a dramatic effect :D)
Don't even know why I was supposed to write about it, as there's not much to say really. Last Monday was the second time when someone stole something when I was at work. First time was maybe two months ago when someone desperately needed a milkshake and didn't pay for it.(not the full story - comment added by Jazzz)
Back to Monday, I get into the backroom, take my coat off when suddenly two co'workers already there rushed out, saying that he put it into his pocket, came back, one holding the guy's coat from behind, just like when little child has done something really bad. I took my till, to sign in and then wanted to leave till area, my le bf was like, where are you going, erm, away, I have 8 more minutes until my shift starts, and he responded, well, you ain't gonna go back there, because maybe he will get agressive...protective of him, don't you think :)
Yeah, well I don't know why Emma is being so secretive :D the milkshake thing is far more interesting and funny than she made it out to be. Anyway I still remember the first time we had a thief. Event of the evening by far :D And the funniest thing is that he actually turned towards the camera, even took a couple steps closer, all that we could get a good look and just put the wine bottle in his coat and walked out. Luckily someone was watching the cameras and voilĂ the police was called out. My first thief :D Well not mine but you know what I mean, hopefully :D I can't remember if they caught the guy but I presume they did since we do live in a small town where everyone knows everyone and everything.
I've been present to the capturing of another thief too, when suddenly my boss came rushing through the warehouse to have a look at the cctv footage and the yelled out the bastard! Okouuu something happened. He immediately told the story and the description of the person to the walkeytalkey we have that connects several establishments and the police and the person was caught basically right away. And yet again he had faced right towards the camera when he did his dirty deed. Police came to collect the footage a bit later. Had a lovely chat with the lovely officer :) He was cute :P
Ooooh after a long think I remembered what else I wanted to write about :D A couple of months ago we got a letter warning us about scams that people would come in and want to change money and then confuse the cashier and obviously get more money back than they gave us. So a couple of weeks ago someone did come in asking to change money. As it was an unusual amount I was instantly suspicious but went along with it to see how do they do it :D so changed their 20s into 10s and counted the amount right in front of him out loud (we have microphones on the till that record everything that happens as well as cctv, to insure myself) and I could see that he didn't particularly like my counting, so he tried to say nooo, it's way too much 10's and that he really wanted 50s (we don't have £50 notes in tills), so could I change it back to 20s and as he was saying that and trying to be a bit sad and hurt awwww... poor you... I saw that some of the notes were upside down. When I counted them they were all facing the same directions etc. I was like wtf when did you do that????? Closed my till immediately: oooooooops! Sorry can't open the till anymore (suck it!). Standard procedure if a customer starts complaining that he/she was short-changed , is that a member of management (e.g. me :D ) comes and takes off the till and counts it to see if there is more money in the till than the system says. If there is the customer is right and the money will obviously be returned. Luckily the person who I was dealing with left after closing my till (mayb starting to be suspicious that his scam isn't gonna work this time?) that and no money was lost that day :D Yay me so proud :D
Not about a thief but recently a customer approached me and said: "Do you know that there's blood in front of the tills, a lot of it?" I was like what the!!!!!! What do you mean??? No way! And rushed to the tills where indeed there was quite a lot of blood on the floor... What happened????????? Got the mop out and cleaned it and the cashier told me that someone had come in with a nose bleed. Wow that must've been a heavy nosebleed, like the amount of blood was unreal. Later he had come back and said that he had cut his hand (fighting?) and will go to the hospital - sensible man peut-etre? But yeah. Did you know that there's blood on the floor? :D lol - sry but lol :D Omg I've never been so scared, I thought that someone had attacked the cashier or something.
Last minute addition :D The phone rang, several minutes after that my boss walks out (I was at the tills) with a determined face like something's a bit wrong. Then listens to the song Lick you up and down til you stay stop. Sings along. Awkward moment.... and obviously he forgot what he wanted to say and came out for. Later he remembered and said that someone had called and asked for the security words or codes or whatever to our office computer and system. He was like (the hell?), yeah just call our IT support, they'll help you (no they won't if you're a freaking criminal - but that way they'll know more about you haaaaa!). And he had been like aaaahhh... ok... thanks.... I just wonder how many people would actually tell those codes over the phone to a random person claiming to be from god knows where. And how much money could they steal when they have the access to the system??? Note to self: Never answer the phone ever again :D
Hard and stressful work being a sales assistand (not as dramatic as the title would say but still :D) ;)
A question to y'all, is the light blue text better than the yellow one? Should we change colours? Let us know :)
Ttyl ;)
