Remember again!

The 5th November fireworks were held at the Rugby club again this year. And this time to avoid waiting in the cold for a long time we decided to get there about half an hour or so before the display. 

There was a burger van outside this time (last year it was inside they were serving and basically ran out just as we waited in a looong queue - we got the last burger). There was a mother with her small child (6-7?) in front of us and at one point she asked us to mind her kid while she runs to say something to her husband... oooooooook we'll be nice. Awkward AF! :D it seemed like forever since she was gone and I thought what if she doesn't come back? What if the kid gets scared and wants to go look for his mommy? 

It was our turn to order just as the fireworks display started so I was trying to take pics - boomerangs and eat at the same time :D It was a great show! Much impressed :)

And then it was over... It felt much quicker this year, although I think the actual fireworks display was better. So as last year we stayed on later in the park to play with sparklers :D

Ophelia

A few years ago when I was happily sunbathing in Corsica Aber had a huge storm that basically ripped the promenade to bits. We've always had big waves here and there but nothing quite like that until Hurricane Ophelia rolled into town. Even I managed to get out of the house to go and watch the powerful mother nature playing with the sea:

Nothing's going to stop a true sportsman! Not even a hurricane!

The next 2 pics are taken within seconds of each other and a second later my feet were soaked! Mind you it was quite warm water :D luckily no cold symptoms after this...
